Jon Mark Bolthouse, 47, is a technology expert, father of 11-year-old Ivy, husband to Monica Walk and, in his spare time, an accomplished (and busy) keyboard and guitar player for the Madison-based band Fuzzy Side Up. He took over as director of the Fond du Lac Public Library on July 23.
The lower level of the Fond du Lac Public Library is clean and dry following flooding last week from a burst pipe. The BookCellar will reopen on Saturday, August 4, in time for a special sale. All books in the Finance section – on money management, personal finance, retirement, etc. – will be half price on Saturday and Monday.
A burst pipe in the lower level of the Fond du Lac Public Library will cause The BookCellar to close on Saturday, July 28, and Monday, July 30. The library plans to reopen the store on Saturday, August 4.
The flooding occurred sometime during Wednesday’s overnight storm that dropped about 2 ½ inches of rain on Fond du Lac. Some of the meeting rooms are closed temporarily for cleanup, but all other library programs and services are operating as normal.
The Fond du Lac Public Library’s BookCellar – the used books and more store in the lower level – is having two great sales in August.
On Saturday, August 4, and Monday, August 6, everything in the Business & Finance section is half off. The section includes books on personal finance, retirement, management and more that regularly sell for $1.
Oshkosh artist Edsel LaBillois will present an exhibit of his paintings, New Trees, in the library's Langdon Divers Gallery in August. The public is invited to a reception at 6 p.m. Thursday, August 9, at the gallery. Refreshments provided.

Veteran travelers Valerie and Wayne Graczyk will share their photos, memories and stories from a recent seven-day trip at Experience Alaska, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 22, at the Fond du Lac Public Library. The program is free. No registration required.
