Job interview help Oct 17 & 18

A great resume can get you in the door, but landing the job depends on the interview. Job Smart U is offering free practice job interviews conducted by a veteran human resources specialist at the Fond du Lac Public Library. Sessions will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 17, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18.

The interviews will be conducted by Paul Holland, who has more than 35 years’ experience as an HR professional, working most recently at Giddings and Lewis. He’s conducted countless interviews for every type of job, from top executives to entry-level. After each practice interview, Holland will offer a constructive critique, with suggestions on how to answer the tough questions, ways to polish your resume and tips on presentation.

Participants should prepare for the practice interviews as if they were a real job search, wearing appropriate business attire. A resume will be requested in advance. Each interview session could take up to one hour.

Interviews will be scheduled by appointment only. To sign up, contact Annette Clark, (920) 929-7080, ext. 156, or [email protected].
