How to download e-books to your nook
- Visit www.fdlpl.org on your computer and click on OverDrive Media
- Under Sign In, select Fond du Lac Public Library and enter your library card and PIN numbers
- At Getting Started, download Adobe Digital Edition (ADE) to your computer
- Plug your Nook into your computer via USB
- Authorize your Nook
- Browse OverDrive Media for an EPUB or PDF title and click on Add to My Cart
- Proceed to Checkout
- Select loan period of 7, 14 or 21 days and click Confirm Checkout
- Click Download
- Open with Adobe Digital Editions
- Click on Library in ADE
- Click and drag book cover from right column to left column NOOK
- Safely eject your Nook from your computer
- Look in My Documents in your Nook library for the book
- To return, right click on title in ADE

In case of 'user not activated' nook error
Some nook users are getting an error prompt with their new devices. Here's how to reset Adobe Digital Editions folder:
1. Close Adobe Digital Editions on your computer if it’s open
2. Connect the nook to your computer
3. Open the nook (through Computer or My Computer) to see folders inside it
4. Delete the Adobe Digital Editions folder from the nook. On PCs it may be named “.adobe_digital_editions”; on Macs look for a Digital Editions folder.
5. Eject the nook from the computer
6. Open Adobe Digital Editions on your computer
7. Connect the nook to your computer again
8. Adobe Digital Editions will detect the nook and display the ‘Device Setup Assistant’ dialog box
9. Click ‘Authorize Device’
Adobe Digital Editions activates the nook. You can now transfer DRM-protected Adobe eBooks to the nook.
