Literacy program kickoff concert 'sold' out

All tickets for the Saturday, January 21, free family concert by Randy Peterson have been snapped up. The concert at 10:30 a.m. will kick off the library’s new early literacy program, 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a free program that encourages parents to read aloud to their children before they start kindergarten. It helps them keep track of their progress and earn incentives as they make progress toward the goal. The program aims to build literacy skills in children at an early age.

Peterson has been described as a “true Wisconsin treasure.” He’s performed his fun, high-energy original music throughout the Midwest for more than 25 years. His concerts are enjoyed by all ages.
