New Year, New You

Now that the holiday season is over, we can all take a deep breath and get back into a normal routine. For lots of us though, we're trying out to change that routine. We've got lots of resources to help you with that. Whether you're trying to lose weight, eat healthier, get organized, stop smoking, or learn something new, there are literally thousands of books and DVDs to help you along the way. 

One of my resolutions is to try new recipes. I get stuck in the same cooking routine--who doesn't? After a long day at work, nothing is easier than making an old standby. Sometimes we need to do something new. For that, I highly encourage you to check out our cookbooks. These are up on the second floor in the 640s. Try making your favorite Thai dish instead of ordering in! Make one meatless meal a week! Warm up this winter with an amazing soup! 

If you're looking to cook on a budget, there are lots of cookbooks tailored to that as well. Check out our "thrify & frugal" display on the first floor near the front entrance. We've got cookbooks as well as other books to help you get a handle on your finances. For all your other resolutions, there is a display near the stairs.
