Tame the grocery bill - class Feb 15

Most Americans spend 13 percent of their income on food. But by using a handful of smart shopping tips, a consumer can eat just as well on a lot less. Money Smart U is offering Grocery Shopping Strategies, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, at the Fond du Lac Public Library.

Presenter Amanda Miller will explain how meal planning plays a critical role in reducing your grocery bills. She’ll demystify food labels and provide information on keeping food safe, which reduces waste. Miller is coordinator for the Wisconsin Nutrition Education Program for UW-Extension offices of Fond du Lac and Green Lake counties. She joined Extension in October with a background in public health.

The class is free and open to the public. Registration is appreciated but not required. Visit the Calendar or call (920) 929-7080, ext. 118, to sign up.
