Health reform program March 8
Health Reform: What it Means for Wisconsin Families will be presented at the main Fond du Lac Public Library at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 8. Presenter Kevin Kane will provide nonpartisan information on what the Affordable Care Act and other health policy changes mean for you, your family and your pocketbook. The presentation will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
Kane, pictured at right, is a health care organizer with Citizen Action of Wisconsin, an organization that employs grassroots organizing, public education, voter engagement and political lobbying to advance progressive values and shape the debate around health care, economic development and consumer protection. Kane has a background in community, electoral and issue organizing, as well as in applied economics. Kane is a fellow at the Center for Progressive Leadership.
The program is free and open to the public; no registration required. The event is co-sponsored by the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Agnes and the Fond du Lac Public Library.
