Bilingual 'dia' for kids April 28

Time to celebrate El día de los niños (Children’s Day)/El día de los libros (Book Day). The bilingual fun will take place in the Children's Room at the library on Saturday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Kids and parents are invited to enjoy bilingual stories, face painting by Betty Trent, cookie decorating, balloon animals with Sunshine the Clown, games, snacks, door prize and an appearance by the library’s furry brown mascot, Browser.

El día de los ninos/El día de los libros is an annual event organized by the American Library Association to emphasize the importance of advocating literacy for every child regardless of linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

The event is free, no registration required, and is sponsored by the library, ADVOCAP Head Start, ADVOCAP Father & Family Stability Project, Family Resource Center and UW-Extension Fond du Lac County 4-H.
