FDL Artists Association in gallery

The Fond du Lac Artists Association will present their annual Membership Show May 3 to May 26 at the library gallery.

The show will feature artwork by members and will include pieces from Artist of the Year Claire Mueller. The show will be judged and critiqued by local artist and teacher Pat Reiher.

The public is invited to an open house reception and critique on Wednesday, May 9. At 5:30 p.m., refreshments will be served in the gallery; winning pieces will be taken downstairs to the McLane Meeting Room for an open-door critique at 6:30 p.m.

The mission of the Fond du Lac Artists Association is to encourage the creative growth of area artists and youth, and to promote community awareness of local talent in the field of the visual arts.

The exhibit is presented by Fond du Lac Visual Arts, a professional arts group that is curator of the library’s gallery. Fond du Lac Visual Arts is devoted to art awareness and education, development and enhancement of artists’ skills and strengthening connections between art and commerce in the Fond du Lac area.
