Exhibit inspired by 'Rent'

Fond du Lac Visual Arts will present Rent: Addressing the Issues, an art exhibit inspired by the musical of the same name during the month of June at the Fond du Lac Public Library gallery. Artworks in the show will reflect the themes of the play – falling in love, reaching for your dreams, living with HIV, poverty and drug use.

The public is invited to an open house reception on Saturday, June 16, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.; refreshments will be served.

FDL Visual Arts is coordinating their exhibit with Fond du Lac Community Theatre’s production of the musical July 11 through July 14 at Fond du Lac High School. Information about the performances is available at www.fdlct.org.

Fond du Lac Visual Arts, a professional arts group, is curator of the library’s gallery. The group is devoted to art awareness and education, development and enhancement of artists’ skills and strengthening connections between art and commerce in the Fond du Lac area.
