'Experience Tuscany' Oct 24
Veteran travelers Valerie and Wayne Graczyk will share their photos, memories and stories from their extensive travels at Experience Tuscany, at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, at the Fond du Lac Public Library. The program is free. No registration required.
The Graczyks will revisit such Tuscan wonders as the town of Lucca, surrounded by Renaissance Walls; Carrara, where Michelangelo mined his marble; the 11th Century town of Pisa, with breathtaking views from the storied tower; and the locations of Assisi, Florence and Siena, to name a few.
With all this to offer, it’s no wonder the Italian region is a bucket-list destination, renowned for its rich history, incredible sights, cathedrals, museums and wonderful food and drink.
The Graczyks’ passion for travel materialized into a home-grown business, Someday Travel, formed in 2010 to lead groups to myriad destinations. Wayne Graczyk is a retired superintendent of schools. Valerie Graczyk is director of communications for the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes in Fond du Lac. She previously was travel coordinator for UW-Sheboygan for six years.
