Book Spine Poetry Contest on tolerance

Extended until October 31, the Fond du Lac Reads Book Spine Poetry Contest: Talking About Tolerance challenges visitors to the Main Library to "write” a poem about tolerance using the words on the spines of books, movies or CDs at the library.

On October 31, members of the Foot of the Lake Poetry Collective will award first, second and third prizes for the entries that best convey the theme in the most-creative way. Prizes include an original piece of art donated by Fond du Lac Visual Arts, a Bookworld autumn gift basket with a $20 gift certificate, gift certificates from Trinity Restaurant and Cujak's Wine Market and a new copy of the DVD, Dead Poets Society

All entries will be uploaded to Flickr for everyone to see. Display and entry forms are located near the Help Desk in the Main Library.
