As a colorful, creative celebration of March as Youth Art Month, artwork by students of the Fond du Lac School District will be on display at the Main Library downtown and FDLPL Express near Festival Foods.
Artwork by students in middle school and high school will be on display at the Main Library, and the artwork chosen for the FDLPL Express Branch represents area elementary school students from kindergarten through fifth grade.
Crafters can make an adorable Easter-ready stuffed bunny using kids' socks and a few odds and ends at the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Crafternoon program at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19. All supplies provided.
Preschoolers tend to be imaginative, carefree and creative. So it’s no surprise that their artwork is just as fun. An exhibit dedicated to their work will be on display at the Fond du Lac Public Library Langdon Divers Gallery March 2 to April 5.
The exodus of famine-fleeing Irish in the mid-1800s brought a surge of Irish people to the Midwest and, eventually, central Wisconsin. Local historian Tracy Reinhardt (whose father's family traces its roots to Inishcarra, County Cork) will present The Irish of Fond du Lac, at 2 p.m. and repeated at 6 p.m.

Due to popular demand, the Sunshine Dandelion Painting project in the Fond du Lac Public Library's Crafternoon series will be repeated - twice - on Saturday, April 16. The project will be taught in two separate sessions: at 10 a.m. and at 1 p.m.
