Download e-books classes for Nook, Kindle, iPad & Android
Did you get a new e-reader for Christmas? Not interested in shelling out money for every new book? There’s an app for that.
Many people with new e-readers might not know they can use their Fond du Lac Public Library account to borrow free e-books from the library.
The library’s Reference Desk, located on the second floor of the Main Library, is e-book central. Patrons can visit the desk any time to get help with downloading books to their devices.
The library is hosting Download Library E-Book classes. Staff will walk participants through the process of downloading specific to each device. The schedule:
- January 9, 10 a.m. & repeated January 17, 3 p.m.: Downloading to Nook
- January 10, 1 p.m. & repeated January 22, 10 a.m.: Downloading to Kindle
- January 15, 1 p.m. & repeated January 17, 10 a.m.: Downloading to iPad
- January 16, 10 a.m. & repeated January 22, 1 p.m.: Downloading to Android tablet
Classes are free, but space is strictly limited. Registration opens on December 26 at the Calendar or by calling the Reference Desk at (920) 322-3930. Participants should bring their registered devices with them.
