Robert Massie has written several books about the Romanov dynasty in Russia, including a biography of Peter the Great for which he won a Pulitzer Prize. After years of research, Massie recently released a biography of Catherine the Great.

Ever try to get a toddler to sit still for a half-hour? Who’s that’s foolhardy? Certainly not the Storytime presenters at the Fond du Lac Public Library. They’ve specially designed Tiny Tots Storytimes for children ages 12 months to 23 months that uses puppets, music, singing, lots of movement along with reading aloud.
He’s more than 6 feet tall, covered head to toe in soft brown fur and still just 1 year old. The library’s doggy mascot, Browser, invites all his friends to his first birthday party on Saturday, February 11, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Fond du Lac Public Library will hold a two-part class, Beginning Genealogy: Using FDLPL Online Resources. Part one is Tuesday, February 7; part two is Tuesday, February 21; and both are held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the McLane Meeting Room in the lower level.
