Proving there’s more than just a satisfying drink behind the world’s favorite bean, Fond du Lac Public Library’s monthly Flavors of the World program will focus on coffee at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, Flavors of the World program in the Idea Studio. The program is free and open to adults and teens age13 and older. Registration is required and begins at 9:30 a.m.
The Open Door Artists will present their 10th annual themed show April 4 to May 1 at the Fond du Lac Public Library Langdon Divers Gallery. The theme this year is Balance. The public is invited to reception at the gallery 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 11. Refreshments will be served.
April marks National Library Week (April 8-14) and Money Smart Week (April 21-28), so there’s lots for kids to celebrate at the Fond du Lac Public Library. All programs are free. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult:

The Friends of the Fond du Lac Public Library will celebrate their 30th anniversary with an annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at the library. The public is invited to hear a presentation by library Youth Services Coordinator Sarah Newton. A special anniversary cake will be served. The program is free; no registration required.
Historians Dr. Rick Whaley and Herman Bender invite the public to learn about their grassroots, community-based historical research project, My Hometown, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at the Fond du Lac Public Library. Free. No registration.
