'How to Eat Local' on March 20

The eat-local trend is mushrooming, with proponents such as food journalist Michael Pollan suggesting that buying local food conserves energy, supports farmers and preserves the natural landscape.

How to make that happen? Join farmer couple Paul and Sara Huber for How to Eat Local, 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at the Fond du Lac Public Library.

The Hubers will share tips and tricks for finding the freshest and healthiest local food in our area, including information about Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farms and how they work. They’ll discuss how to incorporate local food throughout the year – not just in summer – and they’ll offer a sampling of local foods to taste. The program is free. No registration required.
