The children’s book, The Dot, by Peter H. Reynolds, tells the story of a young student’s blossoming creativity: her grumpy dot on a page turns into something wonderful. The book’s message has spread, and every year on “September 15-ish,” the world celebrates International Dot Day.
Let’s welcome the changing seasons with a celebration of bargain hunting. Fond du Lac Public Library’s Chapter 52 Bookstore is offering great sales in September, starting with an annual downtown Fond du Lac favorite:

Historians Dr. Rick Whaley and Herman Bender invite the public to learn about their grassroots, community-based historical research project, My Hometown, at 6 p.m. Wednesdays September 6 and September 13 at the Fond du Lac Public Library.
