Saturday March 2 an epic day at the library

Saturday, March 2, will be an epic day at the Fond du Lac Public Library.

  • Hobby Expo: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Clubs and organizations from around the area will
demonstrate and share information about their favorite pastimes. The Fond du Lac Model Railroad Club will have an all-day demonstration in the lower level meeting room. Door prizes will be awarded all day long, and a staff bake sale will benefit library programming. The Expo is free; no registration required.
  • Dr. Seuss Day: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Children’s Room. Kids ages 3-12 can stop in to hear stories, try their hands at a make-and-take craft, do a bit of coloring and hope to win one of the door prizes. This event celebrates Read Across America, a national event celebrating the great Theodor Geisel. The library’s Dr. Seuss Day will be hosted by Marian University’s chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society for education students, through the Literacy Alive Grant. The event is free. No registration required.
  • Read Across Fondy Sale at The BookCellar: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All kids’ chapter books and books for teens just 25 cents. The BookCellar is in the lower level of the library.
