Fond du Lac’s history is layers-deep and rich. It encompasses wartime, peace, crazy characters, pillars of the community and everything in between. It’s a fascinating story, one that’s at the center of a new Fond du Lac Public Library program, History at Home.
In support of the Fond du Lac Reads book, Thunder Dog, the Fond du Lac Public Library will offer a two-day pet supplies for fines promotion.
For every new pet supply item (pet food, toys, leashes, etc.) donated, the library will waive $1 in overdue fines on Saturday, October 12, and Sunday, October 13, at the Main Library downtown and at FDLPL Express, near Festival Foods. All items will go to the Fond du Lac Humane Society, which has a wish list of items they need on their website, www.fdlhumane.org, click Make a Donation.
