Summer volunteer fair for kids June 19

Kids from age 9 through high school can sign up for summer volunteer projects at the Summer Youth Volunteer Fair at the Fond du Lac Public Library on Wednesday, June 19, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Agencies offering volunteer opportunities include Free SPIRIT Riders, Woodlands, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Ruby’s Pantry and Fountain View Care Center. Additional agencies are expected.

Students are welcome to visit each organization’s table to get information on volunteer opportunities and requirements. The event is free; no registration required.

The fair is sponsored by the library and the Volunteer Center of Fond du Lac County.

Hey Kids and Parents! Looking for volunteer opportunities specifically for kids this summer? Contact the Volunteer Center at (920) 926-1414 to receive a copy of the Summer Youth Volunteer Guide. This summer's guide is all about Kids to the Rescue, and lists over 20 Fond du Lac County non-profits and almost 100 volunteer opportunities, one to fit every kid's schedule and interests.
