The Fond du Lac Public Library’s popular Storytimes programs resume on September 15.
All Storytime programs are drop-ins (no registration required) full of age-appropriate fun stories, songs and activities. Programs change weekly. Adults are encouraged to stay with their children; all children 5 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Since the earliest days of railroading, Fond du Lac has been a hub. In her program, Following the Train Tracks, at 6 p.m. Thursday, September 17, local historian Tracy Reinhardt will share stories and photos from Fond du Lac’s early days of railroading, including depots and famous wrecks.

The Cherry Harvestby Lucy Sanna is historical fiction set in 1944 in Door County. Thomas and Charlotte have a farm and cherry orchard. Son Ben is fighting in Italy, and daughter Kate is looking forward to going to the University of Wisconsin. The family is struggling with rationing and with finding people to help with the upcoming cherry harvest. Charlotte’s life is all about the farm and her children.

The Perfect Letter is Harrison's writing debut and, I have to say, this guy really knows his romance. Not bad for a first attempt. Light and easy, it is a must-read for Bachelor fans and hopeless romantics everywhere.
Artists are invited to submit samples for a special exhibit in the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Langdon Divers Gallery. The All Hallows Eve exhibit from October 7 to November 4 will complement the library’s annual Fond du Lac Reads program – one book for the whole community, with programs to match.
