Plato and a Platypus Walk into a Bar

August is here, and students are getting ready to go back to school. It’s time to hit the books in the nonfiction section and learn something new. Here’s a funny book in the nonfiction section that can help you ace Philosophy 101--Plato and a Platypus Walk into a Bar: Understanding Philosophy Through Jokes by Thomas Cathcart and Daniel Klein. This book is filled with jokes on the subjects of metaphysics, logic, and existentialism. Not all of our nonfiction books present the subject matter with jokes, but we have many books in our nonfiction section that are intriguing, informative, and absorbing including books on biography, history, nature, and do-it-yourself projects. Check out the nonfiction section, and learn something new. Now for the joke. Plato and a platypus walk into a bar. The bartender gives them a quizzical look, and Plato says, “What can I say? She looked better in the cave.”
