Half-day Fridays programs for kids

Kids who attend school in Fond du Lac School District get a bonus this year: early release on the first Fridays of the month starting in October. Parents perhaps aren’t as thrilled. The Fond du Lac Public Library has stepped in with a free program, Half Day Party at the Library, from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. every first Friday of the month starting October 4 with A Ghoulishly Good Time. The movie Casper will be shown, and ghoulishly good treats served.

Every first Friday, kids will enjoy snacks, movies, crafts and games in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. The program, in the McLane Meeting Room in the Main Library’s lower level, is open to kids ages 6 to 12. The programs are free, no registration required.

The November 1 party will celebrate the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid book release. December 6’s party will be all about the holidays.
