WI Regional Artists on display in Oct

The Fond du Lac Public Library Langdon Divers Gallery is the site of the annual Wisconsin Regional Art Program (WRAP) member show through the month of October.

Now in its 73rd year, WRAP provides statewide art workshops and exhibits for nonprofessional artists. It encourages creative growth through community exhibits, learning opportunities and group critiques and evaluation discussions. The Fond du Lac exhibit is sponsored by Fond du Lac Artists’ Association.

The public is invited to an artists’ reception at 4:30 p.m. Friday, October 18. Refreshments will be served.

On Saturday, October 26, the public is invited to a WRAP workshop and critique. Artist Pat Dobrinska of Green Lake will conduct a workshop on Handling Foreshortening in Art from 10 a.m. to noon in the lower level McLane Meeting Room. After a lunch break, Dobrinska will offer a critique of the pieces from the exhibit from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Both sessions are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

The library’s gallery is a showcase for local and regional artists. The space is curated by volunteer artist Susan Fiebig, who can be contacted at [email protected].
