Sign-up starts Nov 2 for Holiday Greeting Bunting
It’s getting closer: that day you set aside to decorate for the holidays. The Crafternoon program at the Fond du Lac Public Library will help add a festive flair. Using upcycled book pages, ribbon and a few beads, crafters will make a retro-cool Holiday Greeting Bunting at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 16. Space is limited, and registration is required beginning at 9 a.m. November 2 at the Calendar or by calling the Help Desk at (920) 322-3929.
Crafternoon takes place every third Saturday of the month with a different make-and-take project for adults and teens in middle school and older. Supplies provided. It was inspired by a similar program at the New York Public Library that’s run by Maura Madden, who wrote, Crafternoon: A Guide to Getting Artsy and Crafty with Your Friends All Year Long.
Next month’s project takes place off-schedule, on December 7, to accommodate the Christmas holiday. Crafters will make a colorful Rolled Paper Tree wall hanging using scraps of paper and odds-and-ends. Sign-up begins November 23.
