E-book download classes start Jan 2

Many people with new e-readers might not know they can use their Fond du Lac Public Library account to borrow e-books from the library. The library has several resources available to help people learn how to receive this free service.

Classes on downloading free e-books start January 2. Throughout the month, library staff will offer classes on five devices – Basic Kindles, Android devices, Nooks, Apple devices and Kindle Fire. Classes for each type of device will be offered five different times during the month. Space is limited; registration is required.

For more information on times and dates and to register, visit the Calendar or by call the Reference Desk at (920) 322-3930. Participants should bring their registered devices with them to class.

As well, the library’s Reference Desk on the second floor of the Main Library, is e-book central. Patrons can visit the desk any time to get help with downloading books to their devices.

Finally, the new Book a Librarian service is an option for anyone needing one-on-one help with their device. Call (920) 322-3929 to schedule an appointment.
