Cover Me Collage on Feb 15

Collage artist Mel Kolstad will return as Crafternoon instructor for a special class, Cover for Me Collage, set for 1 p.m. Saturday, February 15, at the Fond du Lac Public Library. Space is limited, and registration is required beginning at 9 a.m. February 1 at the Calendar or by calling the Help Desk at (920) 322-3929.

Kolstad will direct crafters to use upcycled book covers cut in interesting ways and collaged to make interesting patterns. The final product will be wall-hanging ready.

Crafternoon takes place every third Saturday of the month with a different make-and-take project for adults and teens in middle school and older. Supplies are provided. It was inspired by a similar program at the New York Public Library that’s run by Maura Madden, who wrote, “Crafternoon: A Guide to Getting Artsy and Crafty with Your Friends All Year Long.”
