Greece travelogue on Feb 25

Veteran travelers Valerie and Wayne Graczyk will share their photos, stories and travel tips at The Best of Greece & Mediterranean Isles travelogue program at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, at the Fond du Lac Public Library. The program is free, and no registration is required.

Greece is at the top of the Graczyks’ list of favorite travel destinations.

“If you enjoy history, gorgeous scenery, friendly people and delicious food, this is the country to visit,” said Valerie. “Greece is the cradle of civilization. To stand at the foot of the Parthenon was breathtaking. A number of us ran the length of the field at Olympia, where the first athletes ran.”

The Graczyks’ passion for travel materialized into their Someday Travel business, newspaper column and blog. The couple enjoys sharing little-known facts, interesting stories and photos of their travels with audiences. Wayne is a retired superintendent of schools, and Valerie is director of communications for the Congregation of Sisters of St. Agnes. She previously led tours for UW system faculty and community members. More information about Someday Travel is available at www.somedaytravel.com.
