Celtic Soul: Celtic Stories March 19

Performing three Celtic tales – from myth, legend and Ireland’s early Christian era - professional storyteller Midge Miles will go beyond St. Patrick’s Day clichés with Celtic Soul: Celtic Stories at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at the Fond du Lac Public Library.

Miles will use photographs and creative presentation to explore Celtic symbolism and spirituality. She’ll conjure the nation’s “thin places” – places considered sacred – and the concepts of desert and exile, and sovereignty. Her entertaining presentation is recommended for teens and adults.

Miles has been a professional storyteller for more than 30 years. A Boston-born Irish American who now resides in West Bend, Miles has been fortunate enough to visit Ireland many times.

The program is free and open to the public. No registration is required.
