Register April 5 for Soda Bottle Flowers Crafternoon

Sign-up starts April 5 for the April 19 Soda Bottle Flowers Crafternoon class at the Fond du Lac Public Library. Class meets from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Space is limited, and registration is required beginning at 9 a.m. April 5 at the Calendar or by calling the Help Desk at (920) 322-3929.

Crafters will cut and paint to make flower magnets using upcycled plastic drink bottles. All supplies provided.

Crafternoon takes place every third Saturday of the month with a different make-and-take project for adults and teens in middle school and older. It was inspired by a similar program at the New York Public Library that’s run by Maura Madden, who wrote, Crafternoon: A Guide to Getting Artsy and Crafty with Your Friends All Year Long.

Other projects coming up (all Crafternoon registrations open at 9 a.m. 14 days in advance of the class):

May 17: Binder Clip Photo/Card Holders

June 21: Zentangle Coasters/Bookmarks

July 19: Solar Light Centerpiece

August 16: Origami Goldfish in a Bowl

September 20: Paracord Bracelet and Keychain
