Sign-up starts May 3 for Binder Clip Holder Crafternoon

Sign-up starts Saturday, May 3, for the May 17 Binder Clip Photo/Card Holder Crafternoon class at the Fond du Lac Public Library. Class meets from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Space is limited, and registration is required beginning at 9 a.m. May 3 at the Calendar or by calling the Help Desk at (920) 322-3929.

Crafters will transform the lowly office binder clip into decorative and useful stands to hold place cards, notes, photos and more. All supplies provided. The class is open to adults and teens in middle school or older.

Crafternoon takes place every third Saturday of the month with a different make-and-take project. It was inspired by a similar program at the New York Public Library that’s run by Maura Madden, who wrote, “Crafternoon: A Guide to Getting Artsy and Crafty with Your Friends All Year Long.”

Other projects coming up (all Crafternoon registrations open at 9 a.m. 14 days in advance of the class):

June 21: Zentangle Coasters/Bookmarks

July 19: Solar Light Centerpiece

August 16: Origami Goldfish in a Bowl

September 20: Paracord Bracelet and Keychain
