Great fall programs for kids

Leaves are turning, kids are going back to school and the Fond du Lac Public Library unveils great fall programs for kids.

Storytimes: This popular program resumes on September 9. Just drop in to enjoy age-appropriate fun stories, songs and activities. Programs change weekly. Adults are encouraged to stay with their children; all children 5 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Toddler (age 2 & younger): 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • Preschool (ages 3-5): 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • Rockin’ Good Time (all ages): 6 p.m. Wednesdays


Talk Like a Pirate Day:
Saturday, September 20, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Celebrate this silly, global "holiday" with fun activities and challenges in the Children's Room. Dress up, bring your best "arrr" and enjoy the fun. For all ages. No registration.

Disneynature Movies: Kids ages 6-12 invited to watch great after-school movies and enjoy snacks. No registration. All at 4 p.m.

  • September 25: Disneynature: Earth
  • October 23: Disneynature: African Cats
  • November 13: Disneynature: Oceans

STEAM Storytime: The same program will be offered twice, at 10 a.m. Friday, October 3, and 10 a.m. Friday, October 10. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art and math. This will be a fun hour of stories and hands-on exploration. For preschoolers ages 3-5 and caregivers. Registration is required and begins at 9 a.m. Monday, September 22. Families are asked to pick one date.
