'Landscapes of Wisconsin' exhibit Dec 3-Jan 7

Local artist Nina Schmidt honors her home state in Landscapes of Wisconsin, an exhibit of artwork in the Fond du Lac Public Library Langdon Divers Gallery December 3 to January 7.

Schmidt, who says she “continues to paint furiously alongside her husband and three children and occasionally invites others to see things through her eyes,” took inspiration from these lyrics by fellow native Bon Iver’s song, Wisconsin:

That was Wisconsin that was yesterday

Now I have nothing that I can keep

Cause every place I go I take another place with me

Love is loves mystique

The public is invited to an artist’s reception 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, December 19, held in conjunction with the downtown Fond du Lac Tour the Town Art Walk. Refreshments will be served.

The library gallery is a showcase for local and regional artists. The space is curated by volunteer artist Susan Fiebig, who can be contacted at [email protected].
