Mini-golf event hole designer meeting Dec 7

The Friends of the Fond du Lac Public Library are planning a fun and family friendly event on March 15, 2015: The Browser Open. The fundraiser will feature an 18-hole mini-golf course inside the library, and the library is calling on local business, organizations, clubs and creative people to help design and build the 18 holes. The crazier, the better.

The Friends are hosting a “golf course” tour – a look at the layouts and discussion of guidelines and design ideas – at 1 p.m. Sunday, December 7. No registration required; just stop in.

Groups interested in designing and constructing a hole should contact Dan Derge at (920) 923-4577. Additional information is available at www.fdlpl.org/main/browser-open.

The Browser Open (named after the library’s furry mascot Browser the Dog) will raise money for library programming. It’s being planned and sponsored by the Friends of the Fond du Lac Public Library, a nonprofit organization that promotes and encourages the use of library services by fundraising, supporting special events and providing programs for the community.
