BookCellar greets New Year with sales

Two great sales will greet the New Year at the Fond du Lac Public Library BookCellar, the city’s only used book store.

  • Annual Mega-Zine Sale, January 3, 5, 10 and 12: Bundles of magazines from 2012 will be sold for 25 cents each and will include such popular titles as Vanity Fair, Shape, Outdoor Life, Fortune, Poetry, NASCAR, Outside, Field & Stream, Car & Driver and Women's Health.
  • Let It Snow Sale, January 24 and January 26: All regular hardcover fiction (including trade paperbacks) two for $1.

The BookCellar is open Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Mondays from noon to 7 p.m. The shop, in the lower level of the downtown library, is run primarily by volunteers. It sells used books, movies, magazines and music for all ages at deep discounts. A selection of rare and collectors’ items are available as well. Proceeds benefit library programming.

The shop accepts donations of used materials in good condition. Donations should be labeled as such and can be dropped off at the library’s Main Desk or in the drive-through book return bin.
