Learn to download free e-books

Many people with new e-readers might not know they can use their Fond du Lac Public Library account to borrow e-books from the library. The library has several resources available to help people learn how to receive this free service.

Classes on downloading free e-books start January 6. Throughout January, library staff will offer three different classes: basic Kindle, basic Nook and a class for tablets, smartphones or Kindle Fire.

Space is limited; registration is required and begins for all classes on December 26. For more information on times and dates and to register, visit the Calendar or call the Reference Desk at (920) 322-3930. Participants should bring their registered devices with them to class.

As well, the Book a Librarian service is an option for anyone needing one-on-one help with their device. Call (920) 322-3930 to schedule an appointment.
