Summer 2015 programs for teens

Teens in grades 6 through 12 don’t have to retire to their Fortress of Solitude (i.e., bedrooms) to kick back and have fun this summer. Behold! The Power of Reading offers free activities all summer long.

Black Light Kickoff Party: 1 p.m. Friday, June 5. Create a blacklight mural, play blacklight Twister and eat delicious (but not glow-in-the-dark) snacks. With door prizes. Free. No registration.

Thursdays at the Movies: 1 p.m. with fun activities and snacks. Free. No registration.

Super Pizza Wrap-Up Party: 1 p.m. Saturday, August 15. Take a blind taste test and vote for your favorite local pizza to
crown the teens’ favorite. Prize drawings include the mega-prizes and lots more. With pizza, drinks and snacks.
