A sweet little series set in Sweet, Texas

Are cowboys and sweet romance your thing? The Sweet, Texas series by Candis Terry is full of hot cowboys and good old fashioned romance guaranteed to satisfy. I just finished book number three, Something Sweeter, and highly recommend this author to those who enjoy authors Robyn Carr or Jill Shalvis. Once you meet the Wilder family from Sweet, Texas in book one, it won't take long until you feel like you are one of the family – and what a family they are!

Anything but Sweet is the first book and focuses on ex-marine Reno Wilder. He is back in his hometown and is ready to settle down into a calmer life. So when Sweet is chosen as a destination for a makeover TV show and headstrong show host and designer Charlotte Brooks arrives in Sweet ready to change everything - including Reno - he is less than pleased about the potential disruption to his routine. Locked in a faceoff neither saw coming, will they be able to find common ground and realize that a life together could be sexy...and also very sweet? You will have to read it to find out!

Sweetest Mistake is book number two and just as much fun as the first. It introduces us to another of those gorgeous Wilder boys, firefighter Jackson Wilder. He left his high school sweetheart Abby Morgan behind to join the Marines and is now home from Afghanistan. But, Abby did not wait for him. She left town and married another man. When she returns to Sweet, alone, their paths are bound to cross. And when they do... They say you never forget your first love and this proves true for Abby and Jackson. You want to cheer them on as they struggle to figure out what they really want. Are they willing to risk their hearts and find their way back to each other? With lots of sparks and passions flying, theirs is a captivating story steeped in small-town Texas ambience.

I just finished reading the third book, Something Sweeter, and loved every bit of it. The story focuses on Jesse Wilder, Sweet's resident veterinarian, and favorite playboy. Jesse made a promise to his brother Jared, when they served together at Camp Leatherneck, and has kept that promise quiet for many years. Jared died in the line of duty, and never had the chance to find his true happiness. The boys' father, Joe, never got over the loss of Jared and died a short time later - some say from a broken heart. Now, their mother, Jana Wilder, has found love again with Martin Lane. The family ranch is buzzing with wedding plans. Jesse is protective of his mother, as all the Wilder boys are, so he is suspicious when Martin's daughter Allison shows up in town unannounced. Is she here to cause trouble? Well, trouble is what happens on the night of their first meeting at Seven Devils Saloon in downtown Sweet. Both are afraid to find love, Allison because her parent's marriage was so terrible, and Jesse because he feels as though he must wait to find his own happiness until everyone else in his family has theirs. There is no denying their mutual attraction and there are plenty of bumps along the road to finding true happiness.

Well, it is on to book number four for me. I am sure Sweet Surprise will be just as much fun to read as the previous three. You know it is a great series when you finish one book and can't wait to start the next. I just can't get enough of those wild Wilder boys!
