Dr. Seuss party March 4

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go,” said the wise Cat in the Hat.

The Fond du Lac Public Library hopes kids will go to the Children’s Room on Friday, March 4, to celebrate Dr. Seuss on their half day of school. All ages are invited to stop in starting at 12:30 p.m. for make-and-take crafts, activities, door prizes, cookie decorating and, at 2 p.m., a showing of the animated movie, The Lorax (rated PG), from the book by Dr. Seuss. Snacks will be served. The party is free. No registration required.

Every year, schools and libraries across the country celebrate Read Across America events around March 2 to mark the birthday of Dr. Theodor Geisel, a.k.a. Dr. Seuss.

The library’s Dr. Seuss Day is presented by the local chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society, and Marian Student Education Association at Marian University.
