'Reinventing Urban' in gallery in April

The Open Door Artists will be presenting their 8th annual themed show April 6 to May 3 at the Fond du Lac Public Library Langdon Divers Gallery. The theme this year is Reinventing Urban, which harkens back to the group’s first show, Reinventing Rural.

The group has its origin in an idea by local artist Nancy Donohue. She invited a small number of artists to join her for the rural-themed show. It was so successful that the group kept going and agreed to call themselves Open Door Artists.

The artists will hold a public reception at the gallery from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13. Refreshments will be served.

The library’s gallery is a showcase for local and regional artists. The space is curated by volunteer artist Mel Kolstad, who can be contacted at [email protected].
