Teens travel with trolls in Mar 15 Pizza & Pages

Teens in grades 6 through 12 are invited to the Fond du Lac Public Library’s teen reading club, Pizza & Pages, to talk about the funny-sweet fairy tale, Once Upon a Marigold, by Jean Ferris. Teens will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, to discuss the fate of the main character, Christian, his father the troll and the love of his life, Princess Marigold. As they munch on pizza, teens will make marshmallow caves and castles. The program is free; no registration required. Teens chose Don't Get Caught by Kurt Dinan for the Apr 19 meeting. Copies of the books are available for checkout now at the downtown library’s Main Desk.

The second-to-last Teen Library Council of the school year will gather at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 12. Anyone in grades 6-12 is invited. Council members design programs, choose prizes, volunteer for special events and more. With snacks. The council motto: Be heard. Be fed. Be happy.

The deadline for the third annual Teen Photo Contest is coming up: photos in three categories – Black and White, Shadows and Anything Goes – must be submitted by April 1. The grand prize is a $250 Visa gift card; honorable mention prizes will be awarded in each category as well. For full instructions on how to enter, go to www.fdlpl.org/teens.
