My Hometown researchers meet Jul 19

This spring, historians Dr. Rick Whaley and Herman Bender have a grassroots, community-based historical research project called My Hometown. Open to anyone who wished to learn how to research the past, the group embarked on researching buildings in Fond du Lac.

The public is invited to hear about the group’s progress and provide feedback at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, at the Fond du Lac Public Library.

The budding historians are learning how to access free resources – the library’s collection, online resources, Fond du Lac Historical Society materials and more – to gather information and to write about the buildings and the people who built them.
