March events for kids

A sleepover, movie, race cars, airplanes and more: There are so many free events for kids in March at the Fond du Lac Public Library. All programs are free. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult:

  • Half-Day Party. 1-3:30 p.m. Friday, March 2. Kids ages 6-12 and their families. Half day at school? Party at the library! Play bingo, eat snacks and watch “Wonder.” No registration required.
  • Playdate at the Library. Every Monday 9:30-11:30 a.m. For young children and caregivers. Just drop in to have fun with toys and activities. No registration.
  • Storytimes; no registration required:
    • Toddler: Ages 2 and younger. 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
    • Preschool: Ages 3-5. 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
    • Evening: All ages. 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
  • Teddy Bear Sleepover. Friday, March 9, and Saturday, March 10. Ages 3-8. Bring a favorite stuffed animal to the Children’s Room at 5 p.m. March 9, read them a bedtime story and say goodnight. Return at 10 a.m. the next day to share a snack and see what shenanigans the friends got into. A partner program with Fond du Lac High School Key Club.
  • Race Car Fun. 4-5 p.m. Friday, March 16. Ages 8-12. Drop in and design race tracks for Matchbox cars. No registration.
  • Aviation Science. 6-7 p.m. Thursday, March 29. Ages 8-12. Learn how to make different kinds of paper airplanes and a parachute that will support toy army men. Registration required starting Monday, March 19, at, click Calendar; by calling (920) 322-3940; or in person at the Children’s Desk.
