Half-day Party and more events for kids in May

School winds down in May, but there’s plenty going on for kids at the Fond du Lac Public Library. All programs are free. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult:

  • Family Lego Night: 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3. Kids in grades K-8 and their families. Regular Lego and Duplo blocks for younger children. No registration required.
  • Half-Day Party: 1-3:30 p.m. Friday, May 4. Kids ages 6-12 and their families. Half day at school? Party at the library! Play bingo, eat snacks and watch Star Wars: The Clone Wars (PG). No registration required.
  • Storytimes (through May 10 then break before summer): No registration required:
    • Toddler: Ages 2 and younger. 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
    • Preschool: Ages 3-5. 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
    • Evening: All ages. 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays.

I Survived … Science: 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 15. Kids ages 8-12. No registration. Experience the science behind the popular “I Survived” books by Lauren Tarshis. Make a tornado in bottle, build a house to outlast an earthquake and survive the sinking of the Titanic.
