Test-ride e-bikes at FDL Library June 6

Curious about e-bikes, also known as motorized or pedal-assist bikes? You can give them a try at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at the Fond du Lac Public Library. The program is free; no registration required.

The program will start in the library’s lower level Idea Studio, where avid cyclist and retired math professor John McDowell will offer a short presentation on e-bikes, which use lightweight lithium-ion batteries to help power up hills and through tough terrain.

After the presentation, the gathering will move outdoors to the US Bank parking lot on Portland Street, where attendees can test-ride e-bikes provided by Attitude Sports and Fond du Lac Cyclery.

In case of inclement weather, the program will take place at the same time one week later, on Wednesday, June 13.
