Summer reading ends soon!

Summer is almost over, the children are getting ready to return to school, and that means the library's summer reading program is coming to an end. The program officially ends this Saturday, August 11. Providing that we don't run out of prizes, we will still accept reading cards until the end of August. However, after August 11 you will not receive another reading card when you turn in your current card. For example, if you turn in your third card on August 22, you will still receive your third card prize but you will not receive the fourth card.

If you need some incentive to finish up the program, here is a reminder of the prizes. In the children's program, kids receive a different prize when they finish each of their four cards. For their fourth and final card, children will receive a squishy brain.

Teens get to choose one item from our teen box for each of the four cards they return. Each of the returned cards also serves as an entry into the grand prize drawing. The grand prizes will be drawn at the Grand Prize Pizza Party on August 18. Any teen who participated in the program is invited to attend. The teens will also taste test pizza from local pizza shops to determine a teen favorite.

Adults receive a bag of popcorn for each of the four cards they return. Similar to the teens, each reading card that is returned serves as an entry into the grand prize drawing. The more you read, the more chances you have to win a grand prize!
