FDL Artists’ Association show Nov 1-Dec 5

The Fond du Lac Artists’ Association will hold its annual membership show from November 1 to December 5 at the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Langdon Divers Gallery.

3-color pillowcase project Nov 15 & 16

Learn to make a great holiday gift – a three-color standard-size pillowcase – while getting trained on either the sewing machine or the serger in classes at the Fond du Lac Public Library’s Idea Studio. The free classes are open to adults and teens age 13 and older.

Dementia-friendly community discussion Nov 15

The Fond du Lac Dementia Friendly Task Force will present What is a Dementia-Friendly Community? at 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, at the Fond du Lac Public Library. The program is recommended for the general public as well as caregivers and businesses. It is free; no registration required.

Artist Kolstad to teach card art Nov 18

Noted local artist Mel Kolstad will be guest instructor at the 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, November 18, Crafternoon programs at the Fond du Lac Public Library.

Teens take a hike in November

Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to the best book club in town – Pizza & Pages – at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 15, to talk about The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams.

Yarn Crafters meet Nov 9, Dec 14

Letters to Santa due Dec 6

When it comes to Christmas wishes, kids know it’s smart to put them in writing. Kids who drop off their letters to Santa at the Children’s Room at the downtown Fond du Lac Public Library by 3 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, will get a personalized reply by Santa mailed to their homes before Christmas.

Uke Club meets Nov 11

The informal, drop-in Fond du Lac Ukulele Club will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 11, at the Fond du Lac Public Library. The club is a fun get-together for uke players of all ages and skill levels to learn songs, practice and share. The program is free; no registration required. Players are encouraged to bring their own instruments.
