Celebrating roles the Kelley women played in turning a small family farm into a successful regional attraction, Karen Kelley will present It All Started on Kelley Road, at 2 p.m. and repeated at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at the Fond du Lac Public Library.

Children’s Room short-term closure

The project to install new carpeting at the downtown Fond du Lac Public Library will force the closure of the Children’s Room for several days starting Monday, February 19. It is expected to reopen by Sunday, February 25.

Instant Pot Users’ Group repeated Mar 12

Back by popular demand, the Fond du Lac Public Library will repeat the Instant Pot Users’ Group program at 6 p.m. Monday, March 12. With door prizes. The program is free; no registration required.

Instant Pot is a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, yogurt maker, steamer, warmer and sauté pan all in one, and its popularity is sweeping the nation.

Memory Café brings the funny Mar 22

Persons with early to mid-stage Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia, their caregivers and family members are invited to monthly Alzheimer’s Association Memory Cafés held at 1 p.m. the fourth Thursday of the month at the Fond du Lac Public Library. The programs are free; no registration required. Each month features a new theme:

Art students’ work on display in March

In a colorful, creative celebration of March as Youth Art Month, artwork by students of the Fond du Lac School District will be on display at the Main Library downtown and FDLPL Express branch.

Through March, artwork by students in middle school and high school will be on display at the Main Library, and the artwork chosen for the FDLPL Express Branch represents area elementary school students from kindergarten through fifth grade.

The Fond du Lac Public Library supports a high quality of life in Fond du Lac through reading, lifelong learning and community involvement.

Hand-sewers’ group meets Mar 28

The Fond du Lac Public Library hosts a monthly casual gathering of people interested in hand-sewing projects, From Our Hands. The group will meet from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, and will meet every fourth Wednesday of the month at the same time. Sewers of all skill levels are invited. Free. No registration.

Yarn Crafters meet Mar 8, 22

The drop-in Yarn Crafters group will meet at 6 p.m. Thursdays March 8 and March 22 at the Fond du Lac Public Library.

Make Easter chick place holders Mar 17

Just in time for April 1 Easter festivities, crafters will make cute Easter chicks table decorations or place holders at the 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, Craftermorning program at the Fond du Lac Public Library. Supplies provided. The program is free and open to adults and teens age 13 and older. Registration is required and begins at 9:30 a.m.
