3 DIY programs in Idea Studio in April

The Fond du Lac Public Library’s Idea Studio is permanent do-it-yourself zone in the library’s lower level with equipment to use for free and DIY programming for adults and teens age 13 and older. The program lineup for April is:

Every April, the Fond du Lac Public Library buzzes with activity. April is the time to celebrate National Library Week (April 8-14) and Money Smart Week (April 21-28). It’s a time for programming, learning and having fun. At the Fond du Lac Public Library, it’s also a time for fine forgiveness.

Friends celebrate 30th anniversary Apr 12

The Friends of the Fond du Lac Public Library will celebrate their 30th anniversary with an annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at the library. The public is invited to hear a presentation by library Youth Services Coordinator Sarah Newton. A special anniversary cake will be served. The program is free; no registration required.

My Hometown historians meet Apr 11

Historians Dr. Rick Whaley and Herman Bender invite the public to learn about their grassroots, community-based historical research project, My Hometown, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, at the Fond du Lac Public Library. Free. No registration.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

We wanted to take a few minutes to highlight one of the best things we offer at the library. Have you heard about 1000 Books Before Kindergarten?

Like all of our programs and classes for children, this is a free opportunity. It takes minutes to sign up, less than a minute to learn how to do it, and then you’re on your way to the next thing.

The concept is simple. The rewards are endless.

Book Club Kits

Are you looking for book club ideas? We have ready made book club kits that can help. Included in each kit are eight copies of the same book as well as discussion questions. The book club kits are located in the Cindy Casetta Barden Teachers' Resource Room in the children's area. Kits can be checked out for 60 days and you can check out up to three on one card.
